The All Purpose Linotype (APL)

The APL is a machine that allows to cast type in very large point sizes, from 6 point up to 144 point. Despite its name, it shares few similarities with the Linotype. It has no keyboard or magazines. It was intended to become the counterpart of the Ludlow.
