April 1940, the building where Østlendingen was located was hit and all the
printing equipment was destroyed. In
1942 the paper was back in business, and had two typesetting machines - one
Linotype and one Linograph. One of these machines (unknown which one) came from the newspaper Glommen in Sarpsborg. Glommen was closed down by the government in the autumn 1941, and the two typesetting machines there were sold - one to Elverum and one to Kongsvinger. |
